Sphaerodactylus fantasticus fantasticus: Guadeloupe: west coast of the Basse-Terre portion, from Mahaut south to vicinity of Baillif. Terra typica: Martinique (in error); revised to Guadeloupe by Barbour, 1915; further restricted to city of Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, by Thomas, 1965.
Sphaerodactylus fantasticus anidrotus (HOLOTYPE MCZ 77123): Marie-Galante.
Sphaerodactylus fantasticus fuga (HOLOTYPE MCZ 77107): Dominica, west coast. Sphaerodactylus fantasticus hippomnanes (HOLOTYPE MCZ 77101): La Dsirade.
Sphaerodactylus fantasticus karukera (HOLOTYPE MCZ 77088): Guadeloupe: known only from Gosier, Ilet de Gosier, and Terre-de-Bas, les de la Petite Terre. Sphaerodactylus fantasticus ligniservulus (HOLOTYPE MCZ 66968): Montserrat. Sphaerodactylus fantasticus orescius (HOLOTYPE MCZ 77077): Guadeloupe, the eastern Basse-Terre portion from Sofaa south to vicinity of Trois Rivires; intergrades with Sf fantasticus and Sf karukera.
Sphaerodactylus fantasticus phyzacinus (HOLOTYPE MCZ 77114): les des Saintes: Ilet Cabrit, Terre-de-Bas, Terre-de-Haut.
